Azelastine is a topical antihistamine belonging to the family of new histamine H1 receptor blockers. It is used to treat rhinitis and accompanying conjunctivitis. Azelastine is available as a nasal spray and eye drops (and in some countries in tablet form). Why is it useful to take nasal sprays and eye drops?
